How sweet it is!

What a whirlwind! I have never been this close to a campaign before and the final weeks are just phenomenal! I think I was running on sheer adrenalin. Winning this primary contest assures me the council seat as there will be no Republican opposition in November. After a long quiet weekend ahead, I will begin to prepare for my new position.

We spent the better part of yesterday picking up signs and putting them in storage for two years. If we missed yours, let us know and we'll be happy to come retrieve it. We had pretty good records of where they were, but we still have 70 MIA.

I want to thank everyone who was involved in this campaign. We were all rookies finding our way through, but we did a heck of a job, had fun along the way, and made some wonderful new friends.

I also want to thank everyone who has supported me emotionally, financially and at the polls. I am looking forward to serving you and working together for a sustainable future for Ann Arbor.

Interesting that you should mention the 'signs' because as I was driving home yesterday I noticed all kinds of campaign signs around town here & there (looked messy), but none for you and I wondered if somebody actually got out and picked them up. And I was happy at the idea that maybe you folks would/DID! A positive sign of things to come I'd say/hope. Congratulations & 'Rock-on' Ann Arbor city council!
